GM Authority has exclusively learned that lower-output version of the 2.7L I4 L3B engine will carry the L2R designation.
Will the 2023 Colorado have a V6 engine?The Colorado will be powered exclusively by a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four and eight-speed automatic transmission. Horsepower and torque vary depending on trim level from a 237-hp base engine, up to the ZR2's high-output 310 horsepower version with a muscular 430 pound-feet of torque.
Will the 2023 Chevy Colorado have a diesel engine?The old Colorado and GMC Canyon were once two of just three mid-size pickups to offer a diesel powertrain, but not anymore. The 2023 Colorado will be powered exclusively by Chevy's turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four engine bolted to an updated eight-speed automatic transmission.

Will the 2023 Chevy Colorado be bigger?All models are built on a new chassis that gives the 2023 Colorado a 3.1-inch-longer wheelbase than the current Crew Cab/short box model. A shortened front overhang that contributes to a more aggressive stance also significantly improves the truck's approach angle.
