Today my review is about such a body lotion that comes with sun protection and whitening effects, from the house of a well known brand, NIVEA! ❤

Nivea extra whitening cell repair lotion with spf 15 has been specifically designed for the needs of asian skin. Formulated with super fruit extracts of camu camu and acerola cherry ,this lotion offers 50 times higher vitamin C*[ in comparison to lemon extract], and helps to
repair the years of dullness and damage on skin. The formula with spf 15 is free of paraben, mineral oil, colourants and bleaching, proven to protect the skin from sun effectively without leaving harmful residues.
Nivea extra whitening cell repair lotion with spf 15 helps repair: Accumulated dull damaged skin, dark spots, uneven skin tone, rough skin, flaky skin, cracked skin, itchy skin.
RESULTS: Your body skin is noticeably whiter and smoother with radiance within 14 days of regular use.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:
The brand NIVEA has a vast range of body lotions catering to the need of every skin type.. This lotion from the brand is specifically formulated to tackle the Indian skin problems like suntan, dullness, dark spots and more.. 🙂
The lotion comes in a typical NIVEA packaging, that is, a dark blue cap and a white bottle.. The bottle I possess is a huge one of 400ml and has a pump dispenser, but there are smaller sizes available that are quite travel friendly.. ❤
The Nivea extra whitening lotion is white in colour and has a medium to runny consistency.. It has a pleasant, refreshing sweet smell that is mild enough not to bother the Sensitive noses.. ❤
The lotion spreads easily on the skin and gets absorbed completely within a minute.. It doesn’t make the skin greasy even on the most humid days.. It keeps my normal to dry skin well hydrated during the Summers and the monsoons.. ❤
But the lotion lacks to provide enough moisturisation to my skin, that turns dry to extremely dry during the colder winter months and the skin feels stretchy and cracks even after applying the lotion generously… 🙁
According to me, It would suit all skin types during the Summers and monsoons and oily/combination skin might even find it apt to use during Winters.. ❤
Now, as far as the “Whitening and Smoothening” claims are concerned, I haven’t noticed any Whitening or Brightening of my tanned arms or legs even after months of use.. It does smoothen the texture of the skin a little bit on prolonged use but apart from that, it hardly does anything noticeable..
Also, the SPF present in it is quite less to provide a decent sun protection and I have tanned quite a bit, even after wearing the lotion liberally on exposed parts of my body..
So, the extra whitening cell repair SPF lotion from Nivea is just a regular, light and non greasy body lotion with some added benefits of sun protection.. 😀

SUMMING UP PROS AND CONS:
PROS:
1. Affordable and easily available. Buy it from here!
2. Travel friendly sizes available.
3. Non-greasy and easily absorbed.
4. SPF 15 is Present.
5. Smoothens skin a bit with regular use.
6. Sans Paraben and SLS.
CONS:
1. Won’t suit normal to dry skin during Winters.
2. SPF present is too less to prevent skin from tanning.
3. Doesn’t live upto its “Whitening” claims.

FINAL TAKE: The Nivea Extra Whitening body lotion is a good, non-greasy, light, affordable body lotion that would go well for all skin types; but if you are expecting whitening benefits, it won’t live upto your expectations.. 😛
