Nhiều khán giả bất ngờ khi trang nghe nhạc nổi tiếng Hàn Quốc - Melon công bố Top 100 bài hát thập kỷ, trong dó IU giành đến 11 vị trí khác nhau trong BXH.
Danh sách được lựa chọn từ 100 ca khúc thập kỷ 2010 – 2019 được nhiều người lựa chọn nghe nhất. Trong đó, có rất nhiều tác phẩm của cá nghệ sĩ nổi tiếng Hàn Quốc góp mặt trong bảng xếp hạng này như Spring Day [BTS], Cherry Blossom Ending của Busker Busker… đặc biệt IU là nữ nghệ sĩ trẻ duy nhất có đến 11 bài hát được bình chọn.
Lý do IU có nhiều tác phẩm lọt bảng xếp hạng là bởi đa phần các ca khúc của cô thuộc dạng dễ nghe, "bắt tai" và phù hợp với giới trẻ. Vì vậy, bất cứ sản phẩm nào mà IU ra mắt đều đạt số lượt nghe "khủng" trên các trang nghe nhạc trực tuyến. Một số ca khúc tiêu biểu lọt Top 100 bài hát thập kỷ của IU gồm:
Through the Night [đứng vị trí thứ 2]
“Through the Night” là bài hát được nữ ca sĩ IU thu âm cho album thứ 4 của cô mang tên “Palette” vào năm 2017. Đây là ca khúc được viết lời bởi chính IU kết hợp cùng produer Je-Hwi Kim và Hee-won Kim.
Ca khúc được đánh giá thành công về mặt thương mại và luôn giữ vị trí đầu trong mọi bảng xếp hạng âm nhạc thời điểm ra mắt, đem về cho IU rất nhiều giải thưởng lớn, nổi bật nhất là “Bài hát của năm” tại Golden Disc Awards lần thứ 32 và đề cử “Bài hát của năm”.
Friday [vị trí thứ 5]
Là một ca khúc được đánh giá cao kể từ khi phát hành vào năm 2013 trong album “Modern Times”, “Friday” dành được nhiều thiện cảm của khán giả nghe nhạc. Vào thời điểm IU thể hiện ca khúc này được xem là thời đỉnh cao phong độ của nữ ca sĩ.
“Friday” cũng là ca khúc đầu tiên giúp cho IU có được nhiều đề cử và giải thưởng danh giá trong sự nghiệp như Melon Music Award, Mnet Music Awards...
Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms [vị trí thứ 7]
Đây là ca khúc xuất hiện trong danh sách âm nhạc mùa xuân của K-Pop. Được thể hiện bởi giọng ca trong trẻo và đáng yêu, IU đã khiến cho “Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms” chiếm được nhiều thiện cảm của người nghe một cách nhanh chóng. Đây là tác phẩm mà IU hợp tác cùng HIGH4. Hiện ca khúc này cũng đã vượt mốc 100 triệu lượt xem trên Youtube.
Ngoài ra, 8 bài hát còn lại nằm trong bảng xếp hạng Top 100 ca khúc thập kỷ của Iu bao gồm “Meaning of You” [vị trí 13], “Merry Christmas In Advance” [vị trí 18], “Good Day” [vị trí 23], “Palette” [vị trí 32], “YOU & I” [vị trí 36], “BBIBBI” [vị trí 68], “Twenty-three” [vị trí 80] và “My Old Story” [vị trí 88].

Vừa qua, danh sách Top 100 Music Video xuất sắc nhất thập kỷ 2010 do tạp chí âm nhạc hàng đầu Billboard bình chọn vừa được công bố. Hàng loạt nghệ sĩ đình đám trên thế giới có MV đã từng ra mắt từ năm 2009 - 2019 vinh dự góp mặt như Adele [MV Hello, Rolling in the deep], Ed Sheeran [MV Castle on the Hill], Beyoncé [MV Countdown], Nicki Minaj [MV Stupid Hoe], Justin Bieber [MV Sorry],… Bên cạnh đó, danh sách này còn chứng kiến sự xuất hiện bốn nghệ sĩ Hàn Quốc được đánh giá đang sở hữu những MV xuất sắc nhất lần lượt là PSY, Big Bang, BTS và Orange Caramel.
BTS - MV Blood, Sweat and Tears [2016]
MV Blood, Sweat and Tears là single của nhóm nhạc nhà Bit Hit Entertainment được ra mắt vào ngày 10/10/2016 và đã cán mốc hơn 500 triệu lượt xem trên Youtube. Sản phẩm của BTS được tạp chí nổi tiếng bình chọn ở vị trí 69 với bình luận: “MV Blood, Sweat and Tears là một minh chứng cho thấy sự phong phú trong lối diễn xuất và cách trình diễn của BTS. Các chàng trai đang ở thời kì đỉnh cao của sự nghiệp và có một điều rõ ràng rằng: sự thể hiện của 7 chàng trai đã giúp vẽ nên những hình dung về Kpop cho người hâm mộ“.
Flume scored seven entries in the Hottest 100, making him the Australian artist with the most entries in the countdown. He previously had 16 appearances in Hottest 100 countdowns.
Flume’s ‘Never Be Like You’ [Feat. Kai], ‘Holding Down’ and his remix of Hermitude’s ‘HyperParadise’, ranked at #8, #18 and#48 respectively. ‘Drop The Game’ with Nick Murphy fka Chet Faker, ‘On Top’ [Feat. T-Shirt], Sleepless [Feat. Jezzabell Doran] and his remix of Disclosure’s You & Me [Feat. Eliza Doolittle] came in at #69, #82, #93 and #98 respectively.
A number of 2010s global hits, including Lorde’s ‘Royals’, Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’ and Lana Del Rey’s ‘Video Games’, made appearances in the Hottest 100 of the Decade. As for popular non-Australian artists, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar both snagged four entries in the countdown.
The results have again defied vote aggregator 100 Warm Tunas, whose model predicted ‘Covered In Chrome’ by Violent Soho to top the countdown. Instead, it came in at #4. 100 Warm Tunas also had ‘The Less I Know The Better’ pegged at #5.
100 Warm Tunas works by scanning votes posted to social media, or by direct message to the aggregator itself. 100 Warm Tunas’ modelling counted 29,123 votes across 3,181 images, equating to a sample size of about 1.15 per cent.
100 Warm Tunas previously incorrectly predicted Denzel Curry’s triple J Like A Version cover of ‘Bulls On Parade’ would be Number One on this year’s Hottest 100. The top prize was earned by Billie Eilish’s ‘Bad Guy’, which also came in at #71 on the Hottest 100 of the Decade.

Nearly half of those votes [47.9 per cent] came from people aged between 18 and 24. Australian artists accounted for 49 songs in the countdown. The results also included nine songs that had previously never appeared in a Hottest 100 countdown, such as Adele’s ‘Rolling in The Deep’ [which came in at #97] and Azealia Banks’ ‘212’ [#68].
From Monday to Friday, the station revealed the Hottest 200 songs of the Decade with 20 songs aired a day. Methyl Ethel’s ‘Ubu’ was the unlucky entry to just miss out on the official countdown, reaching #101, with early entries for station favourites Tones and I, Lizzo and more.
The Decade countdown – which covers songs released between 2010 and 2019 – is the first of its kind for the triple j Hottest 100. The original Hottest 100, which ran from 1989 to 1991, left the voting open to songs from any year before it converted to its annual format in 1993.
