Các bộ phân tần dòng Vintage chắt lọc hơn 35 năm kinh nghiệm của Tiến sĩ Paul Mills, được thử nghiệm cẩn thận, chế tạo thủ công với từng chi tiết của hệ thống dây dẫn. Để phù hợp cho mỗi phòng nghe, mỗi bộ phân tần cho phép chỉnh Presence và năng lượng tần số cao.

Toàn bộ linh kiện trong bộ phân tần đều chọn lựa kỹ càng và được đông lạnh nhiệt độ 196 độ âm, sau đó được rả đông từ từ, giúp các thành phần linh kiện có trị số bất biến theo thời gian.

I was interested in what reivewers had to say about them,they must of been great back in the day,I put them up with some Audio Note K's today and the mids in the K's where a lot less in your face.The Missions had the same level of detail but lacked some of the smoothness of the AN K. All and all the Missions did well and even Deetes said its not fair to compair a $600.00 pair of speakers to a pair that starts at $2,700.00. The missions have way upgraded caps in the crossovers and much better internal wire than stock but it's still not a head to head horse race. It's funny you can think your $7,000 to 10,000 doller set up sounds awsome till you hear a $100,000 system and put your speakers on it. You see the Missions are not bad in my tube system but in an uber reviealing system it shows all there flaws and it high lights the true abilitys in the Audio Notes. So you see the sad thing is as good as my gear is I will not be able reep all the rewards from the AN k's and thats why people say I hooked up that high end componate to my system and I didn't hear any thing special. It's because the whole system has to be evenly matched regaurdless of at what level your at. a $160,000 doller pair of AN E speakers will not sound very magical on a 30 year old Pioneer Spec system. Not talking down the Specs just putting things in prospective. I really feel shocked when I hear the really high end stuff,you see at that level your not paying for what that gear dose, your paying for what it dosen't do. My Missions gave the same level of details as the AN K's.The big differance is the smooth effortless way the AN K's presented it.I could listen to them all day and not get listener fatiuqe.They where silky smooth and still had all the details, and dynamics but just killed the Missions with sweetness you have to hear to understand fully. That's why they can ask so much for this kind of stuff,because it can do something nothing else can when matched with the same level compnets.

How does the 762 compare with the 762i? I have a pair of the 762 but I have no history of them, when did they appear and how much did they sell for? The 762 are detailed and fast bass. Quite comparable to modern speakers.

Having experimenting with many, and I mean many speakers. These are quite neutral. If they are perceived as being slightly forward I would agree. But i like that characteristic in a loudspeaker. I'm in my 50's and my hearing has obviously diminished in the treble region more so than others. Whatever level of "forwardness" these speakers may have lends itself to my personal hearing. I had a pair of AR 2AX's and loved the neutral sound of them with the 3/4" domed tweeter giving them the airiness that was perfect for my hearing. My goodness, AR really knew what they were doing back in the day. Sealed boxes, controlled bass....just right sort of thing. I miss those. I have had many B&W's with Nautilus tweeters blah blah blah. I did like those. But ahhhh...the AR's. Anyway, the Missions are really nice speakers and sounded great to my degraded ears. The track from Pink Floyd's DSOTM where the female vocalist is just whaling away without pronouncing a word sounded fantastic on these. Great Gig in the sky...i forget. But it sounded really good on these. If i didn't have an obsession for change I could listen to these on a long distant isolated island and be happy. I will be trying to procure a set of AR 3's. Something about those old AR's that have really caught my interest....the sound, obviously. I had to refoam the 2ARX's but it came out perfect. The woofers are stamped but in the end the whole system sounded so good hooked up to an Adcom 5400 mosfet power amp. I ran a low budget Sony DVD player through a tubed preamp into a Pioneer elite recaiver that has pre-amp outs to the the Adcom.
