IELTS practice test
The IELTS test assesses your abilities in all four skills listening, reading, writing and speaking in under three hours.
The practice test includes an overview of the test format with a variety of sample test questions and answers, to assist you in preparing for the real IELTS test. In addition, you will have the opportunity to time yourself as you take each section of the practice test, so you can prepare yourself for the real test day experience.

Test format Listening [30 minutes]

The audio files for each section of the Practice Listening test are provided in the box below. You will only have 30 minutes to complete this section of the test, so we recommend you time yourself as you complete your practice test.

Begin your Practice Speaking Test
Download the following IELTS Practice Speaking test and think of model responses to the questions in parts 1-3 of the test. We suggest you practice the speaking test with a study partner and complete all 3 parts of the test without a break, to make your practice as realistic as possible. You will have approximately 11-14 minutes to complete this section of the test, so we recommend you time yourself as you complete your practice test.
