When you need big power and capability in the truck world, the Ford Super Duty models give you what you need. The F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks pack massive power, and towing ability, and can carry tons of weight in the bed. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to reach some of the items in the truck bed, but Ford offers a solution.

A new and better way to step up to reach items in the Ford Super Duty truck bed

Ford Authority gives us a great look at what Ford added to make reaching items in the bed easier. If you’ve got a heavy-duty 2023 Ford Super Duty, you can reach items using various systems made to get you into the bed. This truck features an Integrated Tailgate Step that is three inches lower than before.

This step pulls out of the open tailgate and lowers at an angle to give you a great place to take your first step upward toward the cargo in the bed. A post also raises from the tailgate to be a grab bar to help you get into the bed. This system makes loading and unloading these heavy-duty Ford trucks much easier.

Ford also takes a page from the GM book for these heavy-duty trucks

Most of the GM trucks made for 2023 feature an integrated rear bumper step and a side bed step. The side bed step is located at the front of the truck bed on the side of the truck. Ford now offers the same steps in the 2023 Super Duty trucks to give you easier access to cargo in the bed. Previous versions of this truck featured the Rear Bumper Step, but the Integrated Side Bed step is all-new and gives this truck a bit more of the functionality you desire.

Does the 2023 Ford Super Duty truck lineup gain anything else?
