The strong-selling Mazda CX-5 is set to gain more equipment and new colour choices next year, according to reported dealer information, but price rises to match.
The popular 2023 Mazda CX-5 family SUV is set to undergo an update in Australia early next year, with new features – and price rises – across the range.
Information published on the Mazda CX-5 Club Australia Facebook group – confirmed by multiple Mazda dealers to customers – indicates an updated CX-5 range is due in showrooms early next year, with upgraded technology across the range, a new colour, and estimated price increases of at least $500.
Mazda Australia is yet to announce the updates, however the car maker has followed a schedule of annual model upgrades in recent years – and has introduced five updates for the CX-5 in five years, many of which arrived in the first three months of each year.

Dealers have advised customers most or all models will receive USB-C charging points, a feature allowing the windows to be opened from the key fob [but not closed again], and a new $595 Rhodium White premium paint colour, replacing the no-cost Snowflake White currently available.
The 10.25-inch infotainment screen currently exclusive to higher-end GT SP and Akera model grades is expected to flow down to the Touring, Touring Active and Maxx Sport – but the entry-level Maxx model is slated to retain its ageing 8.0-inch display.
Wireless Apple CarPlay is also on the list of new additions – though it's not clear yet if this will be available on all models, or just those with the larger [and newer] infotainment screen.
Price rises of $500 have been reported online, however these may be higher for some variants that receive more new features than others. Official details are due to be released closer to launch.
No other changes are expected to the CX-5's appearance – following a facelift last year – or any other standard features or engine choices. The current range is priced from $32,390 to $53,880 plus on-road costs.
The updated 2023 Mazda CX-5 is expected in Australian showrooms early next year. Stay tuned to Drive for more details closer to launch.
