I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that I really rate the Boots Botanics range of skincare, and the All Bright range is my personal favourite for my skin. I’ve previously reviewed the cleanser, but I’ve been slowly accumulating the rest of the range, and have been enjoying it! I thought it would be nice to showcase several products in one review, and show you how it all fits together. I now have the Gentle Cleansing Cream, the Cleansing Toner, the Purifying Face Scrub, the Cleansing Foam Wash, and the Hydrating Day Cream. All the products are under £5, and can be found . The whole range is formulated with plant extracts which are supposed to provide brighter skin. It has no parabens, is ‘people-tested’, and the packaging is made with at least 25% recycled material. The packaging itself is basic, but neat-looking – white plastic with a striking pink and green hibiscus flower on. Overall, the range gives off a simple and clean vibe, perfect for the budget skincare market. Let’s take these in the order I’d normally use them!
  In the mornings, I tend to wash my face in the shower, and I’ve been using the All Bright Cleansing Face Wash as my basic, everyday face wash. It’s not too foamy, which is perfect for me, because I hate foam on my face. This leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped – it’s nothing special at all, but does the job very nicely. It has the same fresh floral scent as all the All Bright products, which makes it pleasant to use.
  When I remember, I swap out the normal face wash for the All Bright Purifying Face Scrub, which is… okay. It’s fairly scrubby, as scrubs go, but just feels to me like someone decanted a bit of their St Ives scrub into the All Bright creamy cleanser – it’s neither one nor the other, and I’m not sure that it works too well. There are other scrubs I prefer, but I certainly don’t hate this, and it’s a great alternative to St Ives if you want something scrubby but have sensitive skin.
  Next up, it’s day cream, and this is the All Bright Hydrating Day Cream with SPF 15. This is a really gorgeous, luxurious-feeling cream that definitely feels more expensive than it is. The floral scent is stronger here than in the face wash products, and it lingers while you wait for the moisturiser to sink in. It’s a very nice moisturiser, but is possibly a bit much for my skin in the daytime; I do find it can leave a little bit of shine behind.
  Then in the evenings, I prefer to use a creamy cleanser, rubbing it in and washing it off with a hot flannel. The Gentle Cleansing Cream was the first thing I tried from the Botanics All Bright Range, and I’m still very impressed with it. It is a very good dupe for Lush’s 9 to 5 cream cleanser, and I think that actually, it smells a bit better! It can’t tackle heavy eye make up, so you may want to use a separate make up remover, but it does a good job of getting all the dirt off your face after a long day. A very nice creamy cleanser.
  The All Bright Cleansing Toner is for me, a bit of a disappointment, and that is purely because of the impractical packaging. The toner itself is nice enough (although it does contain alcohol, so can be a little drying). But my main bugbear with this is the neck, which has an unremovable insert with a little hole, and only allows you to drip out a tiny squeeze at a time. No chance to spray this about, and also more faff to get it on a cotton pad. Apparently this is an exfoliating toner, but I’ve never noticed any effect from it except the total remover of make up or cleanser alike. In terms of consistency…
  Moisturiser, creamy cleanser, face scrub, face wash (nearly invisible up there). I didn’t see any point attempting to show you the toner! Overall, then, the All Bright range isn’t quite as impressive as it claims to be on the brightening front, but I don’t care. It provides an excellent selection of budget skincare products that are really nice to use, smell great, and are pretty good for the environment and your face. While I doubt they’d be suitable for extremely dry or oily skin, for normal skin on a budget, you can’t go far wrong with the All Bright range!
