I found an older Leica, a Leica D-Lux 3, and I looking for a point and shoot camera for street photography when I don't take my Pentax k-3. What do you think of this old camera in 2020? Unless you really want to red badge, you'd be better off getting an LX3 for around $50, which was a significantly better camera. However, they both have small sensors and I wouldn't be surprised if you'd get better results from today's iPhones. Image quality is good with decent light, as the ISO climbs it gets ugly fast. If you want it, go for it but read the review https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasoniclx2 to know what you are getting . Other options for small sensor cams, look at Canon G12, Panasonic LX-5 or a Fuji X10, any of those are better at higher ISO settings and have similar image quality. Leica-branded lens. It's essentially the same as the Leica D-Lux 6. For a fits-in-your-pocket camera, I'd also look at the Canon S110 or S120. If you can find one, I'd also consider an older Sony RX100 for its larger sensor and tilting display, although even the oldest models might still exceed the price range. If you're willing to go bigger, check out Fujifilm X10 or the Canon G12.
