Prison break season 1 review ign năm 2024

Prison Break is a heart pounding thriller that will keep you captivated throughout its entire run. The show is really smartly written where all of the cast and characters are given a chance to shine and they do...the entire cast is terrific! But the standouts are def the two stars of the show...Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell who play brothers Michael and Lincoln almost perfectly! I just recently started watching this show again since I haven't seen it since it was originally on back in 2005 and I can say it still holds up and is just as good as when it was on back then. If you haven't seen this yet then do yourself a favor and watch it as soon as you can.

For Me - The Most Addictive TV Show Ever!

My Rating: 9/10

Watching 'Prison Break' is the most addictive TV experience I've ever had, even more so than Game Of Thrones or Breaking Bad - Lost definitely came close but still Prison Break blows everything out of the water.

Truly, the showrunners have done an outstanding job creating and executing this series. This is one of the few shows whose every season is great and is consistent in quality. I truly cared for all the characters in the show, even the bad guys.

I have yet to come across a TV show which is this engaging and this addictive. Please, please let me know if there is anything out there which matches Prison Break. This is the show I judge other shows by and in certain ways nothing has ever come close...yet.

Edge of your seat thriller!

Prison Break is a story about two brothers. One is Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) who's on Death Row for a crime he didn't commit. His genius brother Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) holds up a bank to get himself out in jail with his brother. He has a plan to break them out, and a host of other interesting characters. Once out it's not over as they have to evade capture as they try to take down a political conspiracy. It's a heart pounding thriller that will keep you captivated throughout its entire run. The show is really smartly written where all of the cast and characters are given a chance to shine and they do...the entire cast is terrific! The first season is obviously the best but the others are still very well done and definitely worth watching. Don't miss this show!

It should have ended with Season 2

If I were to rate the seasons individually, the first two seasons would have gotten a much higher rating. I really liked those, the suspense was held high, there was something at stake there. It really loses its grip (on almost everything) with the end of season 2, to make way for the third season. While watching Season 3, I realized this was more or less a rehash of the first season (though not as good). Still compared to what they went and did in Season 4 ... Season 3 seems like Shakespeare compared to it.

Season 4 goes completely Telenovela on the viewer and while it could have been even more ridiculous, it was enough to almost make me rate the whole thing a 6 instead of a 7. But back to the good things. Season 1 and 2, with great characters and while still some peculiar coincidences, it was really suspenseful and did hold its own. You had some surprises but you also had some things to look forward too. The misdirections worked (the ones you spot and the ones you missed) and the acting was more than decent enough.

Talking about acting, one particular character (a bad/psychotic one) seems to be a favorite. Especially with the ladies and it's not purely for his looks (no offense). Which made me wonder, especially considering the crimes that character committed, why some people were rooting for him. But that's just me I guess, the actor playing him, does a great job and later in the show there is a female "counterpart" (sort of).

The show also got nominated for its score (and might have won a few awards) and rightfully so. The theme is really good and sets the tone. Even the advertising break interlude has a nice touch (of course watching it on Disc, you can avoid those). Everyone was making a big deal that this was a network show and not cable. So there is some violence and a bit of cursing, but not as much (and no nudity) as in other shows. But that was never a problem (at least not for my viewing pleasure).

If you can stop at/after Season 2, you might do yourself a big favor.

EDIT: Onto Season 5 then ... and as I predicted 6 years ago or so, became reality. Someone even has a season 6 locked in ... ah well. The latter might not happen, no matter how much quite a lot of fans want this to become reality. And I'm almost surprised no one has "rated" my review yet. Then again, there are over 700 - so there is that. But back to the "final" (?) season, which picks things up where we left them, but is way better than season 4 - ok that is not really difficult to achieve.

Some things get negated and others (prison sentences) get "explained". Also, who cares about "logic", yes? Not a real hardcore fan of the show - they will not. So switch your mind off and try to enjoy this romp as much as possible. Luck and everything included - it flows almost exactly like you expect it to. With all the necessary/expected story beats. Nothing much should surprise you here ...

Fast, thrilling and good looking!

Prison Break is one of the best new series. It's got personality, style, thrills and action. Michael Scofield robs a bank only to be caught and jailed. With him behind the bars he brings a plan to get himself and his brother, who is sentenced to death, out. What few people knows is that Michael is the architect of the prison and so he knows his way around.

The characters are really good. You really get to know them, but just so good that they're still unpredictable. You get to know some of their history and what kind of person they are. The actors does a great job in portraying these characters. I've only seen Dominic Purcell in John Doe, a performance I didn't find that good. However, in Prison Break his potential in shown. He portrays Lincoln Burrows very good. Wentworth Miller also does a great job as Lincoln's brother, Michael Scofield.

The story may seem a little incredible and some facts may be wrong, but never the less it's made quite believable. You believe the locations and the characters and how they behave and react. The story is well written and detailed and it all seems possible. They've managed to give this series kind of it's own style and personality. The basic idea of escaping a prison is old and so you might not wanna call this show original. On the other hand you don't know what else to call it. It is a new twist to an old idea (and a good one I might add) and it is not filled with clichés. It gives a realistic image of what could very well be. At the same time you got the old hero who's out to save the innocent. Yet, Michael is not treated like a hero. He leans more towards being a anti-hero.

The cinematography is great. This is one of those series with it's own unique look. The mood, style and action is well captured in really good looking shots followed by really nice music.

If you should start to watch one new series this year, it should be Prison Break.

addicting!

Warning: Spoilers

Man i got addicted to this after the first episode!. The loyalty between the characters was pure amazingness. mahon had a memorable character development and one quote in here i will never forget between him and lincoln which was "mahon remember what i said to you when this all started?" "yeah, you said after this is all said and done were gonna settle up" "consider us settled" that moment made me tear up a bit.

another character i hated to begin with that ended up coming through in the end was kellerman, but not as impressive as mahon.

The ending of this show was satisfying!.

This looks like a show that will be a hit!

I have been seeing so many advertisements for this show and I decided to check it out and it's surprisingly good! The acting is well done and everything else. The show is about a guy named Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) who gets arrested and framed for a crime that he didn't commit and now his brother, Michael (Wennworth Miller) installs himself in prison for one reason, to get his brother out of jail! FOX had better not cancel this one! Because I'm tired of the FOX network canceling all these other good shows that have potential and they put them on nights where they can't win and they have way too many reality shows! Plus all the good shows that FOX cancels last for 1 or 2 seasons like "Tru Calling", "Dark Angel", "Fastlane" just to name a few. But hopefully this show might last with all the good reviews from all the newspapers and magazines.

User Rating: 10/10

BOTTOM LINE: FOX SHOULD HOLD ON TO THIS ONE!

Awesome!!!!

My favorite TV-Series ever

S1 is the best season I've ever watched in my life

S2 is Amazing, Alex Mahone was definitely the star of the season

S3 is really Underrated, yeah maybe it wasn't necessary and they could've ended the story earlier but that doesn't mean it wasn't enjoyable

S4 is probably my least favorite season in the series

And I like to think of S5 as an additional mini-season

Phenomenal series. But not perfect.

Lincoln Burrows, sits in jail and is on his way to experience the death penalty in the near future, because of a murder he is accused of.

But Lincoln swears he is not guilty.

His brother Michael, is convinced of his brother's innocence, which is why he intentionally wents to jail, with the plan to break out again, with his brother.

Prison Break is a good series. Michael Scofield's character in particular is incredibly well written and Wentworth Miller portrays that character phenomenally too.

Unfortunately, at some point the series felt like an almost empty toothpaste tube from which you squeeze the last little bit out with all your might...

But still a 9 from me, because the series kept me entertained for days.

Masterclass !!!!

A perfectly plotted series showing turn after turn and greatly it's almost unpredictable. Acting of every character is mind blowing. Detailed execution, covering the next move, thinking beyond imagination of the writers, made it one of the best ever atleast for me. Just one drawback was that after 3rd series it seem little stratched somewhere. Rest all, high five.

Great Show

aly-512 September 2005

Excellent acting and well written. One of those shows that you can't wait until the next episode and even more credible than "24" which, I have to say, this past year got a little out there. It's great and well worth your time.

Wentworth Miller brings a stoic dignity to the role, earnest and steadfast. Dominic Purcell is wonderful as his brother on the cusp of needing to believe his brother will help him. Peter Stormare is creepy as only he can be. And Stacy Keech is refreshing as an atypically concerned prison warden. Nick Santora and Paul Scheuring's writing is spot on and intriguing, leaving you wishing that this was a novel so that the pages could be turned faster. I would encourage any who have the fortitude to watch this show. Pure gold.

Prison Break Season 2 DVD the best!

Prison Break is the best best TV show on earth. Season 1 - 3 I have been watching over and over again. As you know I am a big fan of Prison Break! & and Season 1 - 3 were at it's best! I am in love with that show it is still the best one at it is. We are 2012 now three years ago Prison Break end it and i still adore it and love it so much. My favorite best Season is the Second Season of the show. I still don't know why some fans are criticizing saying that is not as good as The First and the Third Season? I don't get it, i think i have different taste than other people have. Season 2 is the best one and awesome ever it really is. I have Season 2 & 3 on DVD complete original DVD's all are original i really worked hard to get them. Story's: Season 1: Most men would do anything to get out of Fox River Penitentiary, but Michael Scofield will do anything to get in. His brother Lincoln has been sentenced to die for a crime he did not commit, and the only way to save him is from the inside out. Armed with prison blueprints and an impossibly intricate escape plan, Michael gets himself incarcerated, and the race against time is on. Now, he'll need all of the cunning, daring, and luck he can muster... along with the assistance of some of the prison's most vile and dangerous felons... - The story revolves around two brothers: one who has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit and his younger sibling, a genius who devises an elaborate plan to help him escape prison. The brothers, along with six other prisoners at Fox River State Penitentiary, manage to escape at the end of season 1. In Season 1 i love episodes the most: Go, Pilot, Riots, Drills and the Devil (Part 2), English, Fitz or Percy, Cute Poison. Season One was good intense drama but just too much Drama for me i expect more.

Season 2: Is about escaping and been on the run behind the walls. The Second Season begins with the manhunt of the fugitives "Fox River Eight". Eight hours after escaping from Fox River state hires FBI Special Agent Alexander Mahone who is assigned to lead the pursuit of the escapees he has specialized himself to hunt fugitives. Portrayed by one and only awesome William Fichtner he was so amazingly awesome and the best nemesis of Michael ever. The Second season follows a massive manhunt chasing the group. Dubbed the Fox River Eight, the group splits and members go their individual way, occasionally meeting up to help each other. They struggle to escape from the police while avoiding a secret group of multinationals called The Company, that wants them all dead. The most of characters i love and idolize are ( The Fox River Eight are: Michael Scofield,Lincoln Burrows and Benjamin Miles C- Note Franklin. Others not escapees are Dr.Sara Tancredi, C.O. Captain Officer Brad Bellick and FBI Special Agent Alexander "Alex" Mahone. I loved Lincoln how he sacrificed everything for saving his son LJ and Michael he sacrificed everything to save his brother Lincoln,Sara and Sucre. I love how Sara was fighting after she commit suicide at the end of the first season but she survived. Her relationship with her estranged father got better they become close than in season 1 were, but her father was murdered by the company when he found out that Linncoln Burrows was really innocent they tried to kill her but failed, she skipped bail and she had to run for her life. She meet with Michael in Episode 10 Rendezvous. Brad Bellick portrayed by awesome and amazing Wade Williams was fired in Episode 2 Otis along with Stacy Keach Warden Henry Pope he was in 3.episodes in Season 2. Brad Bellick's life was over when he was fired but instead he decide to get revenge on the escapees. With his C.O. co worker Roy Geary he come after 2 escapees and he catch Michael Scofield and his brother Lincoln with Nika. He tried to collect Westmorland's money in Utah but he got tricked by Nika and captured by the brothers. Later he tracked down T - Bag with his partner for Westmorland's money but he got tricked and betrayed by Roy Geary and than framed for a murder of Fomer C.O. Roy Geary which he did not committed.25 to life sentence in Fox River state by T - Bag Bagwell Episode 14 John Doe he was so awesome, but Mahone gave him a deal in Episode 16 Chicago so that he could track down and find other escapees, he come out of the prison and all chargers against him was drooped. He later capture Haywire, Sucre and Michael but got framed by Bagwell for a murder again and was imprisoned in Sona. Benjamin Miles C- Note Franklin was million times better in second season than in the first Season was. He never was caught and all he thought was his family. He was a soul and heart in this season, i loved him so much specially in Episode 16 Chicago and Episode 20 Panama. Portrayed by one and only Rockmond Dunbar.Season 2 is the far best, best one ever in the show. Season 1 was too much intense drama and less action on it. Season 2 was action explosion it blows the third season ever. My favorite best episodes are : Sona,Manhunt,Otis, Fin Del Camino,First Down,Subdivision,Buried,Dead Fall,Rendezvous,The Killing Box - the best episode ever",John Doe,The Message,Bad Blood,Wash,Sweet Caroline and Panama. I am little disappointed about the fans complaining on Prison Break. They said that Sona was the worst episode ever? They were all wrong. How did Bill Kim and Sara find the boat? That is Prison Break people everything is possible!!!!!

Prison Break when it started...but now, give me a break

Warning: Spoilers

The series is undoubtedly one of the best in terms of storyline, acting and cinematography. A lot of the positives however have already been mentioned by other people here, so I'd mention some of the flaws I've observed.

  1. Michael plans everything out, except for disguising himself and his brother after they break out. They occasionally walk around with caps and shades, but honestly he could have at least come up with wigs, beards or colored contact lenses.
  1. Teabag seems to be invincible. You chop his hand off, and he manages to carry it all night to a vet and get it reattached without even taking anesthetics! With that kind of a blood loss and pain, i dunno if anyone can keep conscious for more than a few hours. You torture him, ripping his stitches n all, and he manages to actually detach his hand off n escape!Pin his hand to the floor with a knife, or beat him black and blue, he is healed and active in no time...way to go.
  1. US prison guards are one heck of a trained unit! A guy with a severed hand manages to stumble to freedom under their noses when they had cordoned off the area and had sniffer dogs hounding the countryside( the smell of his dripping blood should have had dogs tearing after him). A bunch of exhausted outlaws manage to outrun them, after they had missed their plane and were just a couple of hundred meters ahead of them! Next, Bellick can't even take a shot at Michael, who was hanging from a train and was not more than 10 meters away.
  1. The Panamanian general was so stupid as to go arresting organized criminals with a couple of lazy soldiers? How can Whistler live in a wall in a smelly sewer, eating raw rats for weeks n still emerge out looking so normal? Most people would have been driven insane, looked underfed and would be riddled with diseases...but he looked in prime health. Some stamina, mate! 5)Mahone, with all his wit n cunning, could not have faked the encounter of that 'baseball card thief' any worse. I mean, he was wicked enough with Abruzzi and the retarded guy, so how come he shot the kid in a manner even a school boy would not take be genuine? 6)The manner in which Mahone n Schofield managed to go in and retrieve the computer guy's device from a high security premise was laughable...What kind of professionals fall for the age old trick of false alarm n all abandoning of posts to check it out? 7) How can a MNC like Gate not have photo record of one of it's employee? If Teabag can pose as an award winning salesman in US where his posters r all over the place , then its really a cause of worry for homeland security, huh!

Very good

Prison Break is an American television series that premiered on Fox in 2005. The show follows Michael Scofield, an engineer who devises an elaborate plan to help his brother Lincoln Burrows, who has been falsely convicted of murder and sentenced to death, escape from the Fox River State Penitentiary. The series explores themes of brotherhood, loyalty, and sacrifice as Michael navigates a dangerous and corrupt prison system to save his brother.

The series features strong performances from its lead actors, particularly Wentworth Miller as Michael Scofield and Dominic Purcell as Lincoln Burrows, who deliver powerful and nuanced portrayals of the brothers. The writing is also noteworthy, with well-crafted and intense storylines that keep the audience engaged and invested in the characters. The show's use of plot twists and turns also keeps the audience guessing and on the edge of their seats.

One of the criticisms that could be made about the series is that the pacing can be uneven, and some of the plot twists and turns may feel contrived. Additionally, the series' later seasons may not be as strong as the first season.

Overall, I would recommend Prison Break for fans of action-drama series and those looking for a show that explores themes of brotherhood, loyalty, and sacrifice. The show's strong performances, intense.

Fantastic New Show on Fox

I wasn't sure how this show was going to be, it didn't look that interesting to me. I thought it looked more like a made for TV movie than an actual series. I decided to give it a chance and watched the premier last night. Let me just say that I'm addicted to the show after the 2 hour premier. This show was great, the acting, the characters, the setting, everything was done top notch. The show is filmed in and around Chicago, the prison they use for the setting was just closed a couple of years ago, it gives it a very authentic look. If you thought like I did(how can you make an entire series out of one prison break?), give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Besides, Fox made an entire season out of a 24 hour period.

Faded Glory

Warning: Spoilers

If I were able to rate each season individually then it would look something like this:

Season 1 : 9

Season 2 : 8

Season 3 : 6

Season 4 : 3

Prison Break started off like gangbusters. The premise was excellent as well as the execution. Season 1 was thoroughly compelling and evoked a myriad of emotions. I was captivated and anxious for each episode.

Season 2 was also gripping although it began to lay down some trends that would be repeated throughout the rest of the show's duration. Even though they were on "the outside", the show still followed Scoffield's carefully laid plans and added some extra obstacles with the bloodhound Mahone in pursuit.

Season 3 seemed too contrived but still I had already invested too much time to the first two seasons to get off now. Where seasons 1 and 2 were heavily dependent upon Scoffield's brilliant plan, season 3 was largely improvisational and seemed like all parties fumbled their way through. It was around the middle of season 3 that I began to see how unsustainable the show really was. I mean, it's called Prison Break; once you break out... what else is there? It's not like he's going to go prison hopping just to keep breaking out.

Season 4 was simply a soap opera and had strayed far from the original premise. By season 4 the show should have been called "Fugitive" or "Days of Our Lives" because it had very little to do with a prison break. This season was so convoluted and absurd that I doubt there would have been a successful bounce back from it even if they were given the OK to make a fifth season. People coming back from the dead, the company being less professional, and the oh-so annoying theme of: I-have-what-you-need-so-you-can't-kill-me trend. T-Bag played that card so much that I was beginning to wonder if it was the Scoffield/T-Bag show. This season had so many predictable and unpredictable twists and turns that M. Night Shayamlan would've even balked at it. Not to mention the very anti-climactic ending of one last prison break?!

I've always believed that it's not how you start but how you finish. Based upon this axiom I was even more disappointed with Prison Break. It seems like the writers only had a two season plan and after that they were just winging it. Too bad such a novel show had to end the way it did. This show would have been a lot better as a mini-series or even just a movie.

Prison Break is Awesome

I have really enjoyed watching Prison Break. This show is Adventureous, Romantic, and a little humor all in one. I do not have many favorite shows, but this one goes right at the top of my list. I am hoping Prison Break will continue airing for quite awhile. Monday nights are always exciting, just waiting to see what comes next, has me on the edge of my seat. The actors and actresses are awesome to watch. The series also has great writers. So I tip my hat to those hard workers that make this show one of the best shows on T.V. Keep up the good work guys and remember you have so many fans that love what you are doing. As I said before, Keep up the good work!!

Is season 1 of Prison Break good?

The show is really smartly written where all of the cast and characters are given a chance to shine and they do...the entire cast is terrific! The first season is obviously the best but the others are still very well done and definitely worth watching. Don't miss this show!

Which is the best season of Prison Break?

Best seasons of Prison Break.

Prison Break (2005–2017) "Go" (2006) TV-14 | 60 min | Action, Crime, Drama. ... .

Prison Break (2005–2017).

Is season 2 of Prison Break good?

Content collapsed. If the first season of Prison Break was a mostly enjoyable guilty pleasure, its second season has been, by turns, uninteresting, unbelievable and unwatchable. Content collapsed. Now the show itself seems dizzy, as if reeling from a sudden, liberating intake of fresh air.

What's better Prison Break or Breaking Bad?

Yes, in my opinion Breaking Bad is way better than Prison Break. Breaking Bad is way more intresting and the Characters are more likable then the Charakters in Prison Break (no offense). Walt, Jesse and Skyler have such a greate development. And you really start to fever along as the series goes on.
