Hguc gundam mk ii revive review

Lets take a look at the revived version of the Gundam Mk ii in the Titans colour scheme! Despite the dark coloured plastic, the nubs were surprisingly easy to clean. For stickers, you get the front and back cameras, the eyes and two more for the chest sensors. Decals include numbers from 01 to 03 depending on your preferred unit.

Note that the Titans Test Team decals were added on separately and do not come along with the kit. We just went along with it to make it stand out more :D

Articulation:

Its actually quite impressive on this kit. The neck has two joins, above which connects to the head, and one at the base of the neck so it allows the head to be tilted really far up! You can get some great flying poses with that! The arms can go really far out and the elbows are well designed double joints allowing for great flexibility! The fist can touch the shoulder. The waist can go all the way around.

The Legs can go out really far as well! The knees are double jointed as well, but due to the design cannot bend that far. The ankles have ball joints so they can rotate and swivel side to side.

The whole structure of the kit though is really solid :D

Nice subtle details. The ankles has visible pistons and the hose pipes on the back knee have ridges to simulate bends.

Accessories:

The Gundam comes along with a plethora of weapons. Starting with those on the mobile suit itself, mounted on the backpack are two Beam Sabers!

The Bazooka, sadly no extra ammo clips :/

The rear skirt of the Gundam has a hatch that can be opened out to mount the Bazooka

And finally, though the Gundam's design did not include head vulcan guns, you do get this piece for the external Vulcan pods. Surprisingly detailed!

To sum up, this kit is really well designed and a lot of fun to put together. Its sturdiness combined with its great articulation and weapon loadouts give a lot of options for a wide variety of action poses!

Incredibly solid Gundam Of all the main gundam designs from the Zeta/ZZ era, I think the Mk-II has aged th most gracefully. I can't imagine a better successor to the RX-78.

The armor is nice and thick. Great weapons. Articulation is great, as most revive models are, and no loose dangly bits. A great place to start for gunpla builders.

My introduction to Gunpla My very first. I'm impressed with the design, it looks fantastic and sits proudly on my desk. I cannot believe how much fun I had for the price and there is a lot of little detail even for a HG. Sad enough some parts are a little fragile and can damage. But overall it can take a lot of poses and seems like a solid build besides some dangerously easy to snap plastic parts. Comment Was this review helpful to you? Thank you for your feedback! Better Than I Expected I will be honest, I expected this kit to be loose and floppy but its a lot stronger of a kit that I thought it would be. While having a ton of moving joints, it keeps it's self steady and does not have an issue with being posed. Comment Was this review helpful to you? Thank you for your feedback! Feb 20, 2023 One Good Looking Mobile Suit I have both this and the Titans Version. This is by far the better of the two in my opinion. They both build exactly the same of course but the look, style, and color separation on this kit just makes it look so good. Comment Was this review helpful to you? Thank you for your feedback! Now Thats What I Call Gundam Mk-II Everything you could want in a model kit. Cheap, detailed and fun to build. There are some small color inaccuracies in the shield and thighs, however. Verified Purchase A great first build! This was my first ever Gunpla! Upon completing the build I noticed only 1 flaw in the joints, the center joint where the torso meets the waist is weak at least on mine from the get-go. It has a tendency to pop off should you move the arms or anything else. Otherwise it's very pose-able, the accessories are numerous and it goes together without much trouble. High recommendation. A Sentimental Favorite This kit doesn't need the sentimental value I have for it to be a great kit, but it helps. This was my first Gunpla, and a great choice, too. Its no-frills construction made it easy for me to jump in with both feet, and even now, it still looks fabulous on my shelf. If you're looking for a starter Gunpla, consider this one.
