What's NewFord has expanded the F-150’s lineup for the 2023 model year. The pickup truck is now available in a high-performance Raptor R model that comes with a supercharged V8 engine. Lower down the lineup, the XL trim is available with a new Rattler off-road package. Beyond these changes, the 2023 F-150 continues to belong to the 14th generation of the pickup truck that was introduced in 2021. Prices range from $36,240 to $109,145. The F-150’s starting price is a substantial increase over the 2022 model year. Engine ChoicesFord’s lineup of powertrains for the F-150 is nearly as extensive as the truck’s available trims. There are a total of seven different engines that range from a work-oriented V6 to a supercharged V8 with supercar levels of power. All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and are available with both rear- and four-wheel drive. The amount to upgrade to a punchier engine varies depending on the trim level. Towing capacity varies by a large margin similar to the F-150’s horsepower rating. The base V6 is rated to tow up to 8,200 pounds, while the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 can tow up to 14,000 pounds. The 5.0-liter V8 engine tops out at 13,000 pounds with the hybrid falling slightly behind with a towing capacity of 13,000 pounds.
Passenger and Cargo CapacityThe 2023 F-150 is available in three body styles that include Regular, Super Cab, and SuperCrew body styles. The Regular is offered on XL and XLT trims, the Super Cab is available on XL and XLT trims, and the entire lineup comes with the SuperCrew configuration. Depending on the configuration, the F-150 offers seating for up to six people, though most trims can seat up to five. Ford offers the F-150 with three different bed sizes, but the choices vary depending on body style. The short 5.5-foot bed is only available with the SuperCrew body style. ConnectivityThe standard F-150 comes with an eight-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Enhanced voice recognition and satellite radio are available on the XL trim for $325. The Lariat adds a 12-inch touchscreen and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. Step up to the King Ranch and the F-150 brings a B&O audio system and a wireless charging pad. An 18-speaker B&O audio system is standard on the Limited trim and above. 2023 Ford F-150 XL – MSRP From $36,240 As the most affordable F-150 trim, the XL is a work-oriented pickup with few features. The XL comes with automatic headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, fog lights, 17-inch steel wheels, and manually adjustable exterior mirrors. Power for the tremor comes from a 5.0-liter V8 engine. The King Ranch comes with a two-tone paint job, 18-inch wheels, wood trim, King Ranch logos, unique leather upholstery, LED headlights and taillights, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats. The King Ranch High equipment group costs $3,850 and adds power deployable running boards, an 18-speaker B&O audio system, and the Bed Utility Package. The package costs $3,950. 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor – MSRP From $78,570 Built for high-speed off-roading, the Raptor is geared toward consumers that live for going off-road. The high-performance truck comes with long-travel suspension, Fox shocks, unique fender flares and grille, heavy-duty skid plates, 35-inch all-terrain tires, a trail control system, one-pedal off-road driving, and 17-inch wheels. It commands a hefty $30,575 over the regular Raptor but adds a 700-hp supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine, 37-inch wheels, black exterior accents, a unique grille, a special hood vent, orange tow hooks, Raptor R badges, leather Recaro seats with Alcantara inserts, carbon fiber trim, orange stitching, Raptor R exterior graphics, and 17-inch bead-lock capable wheels.
