Để tính giá trị biểu thức tại \[x=x_0\] ta thay \[x=x_0\] vào biểu thức đã cho rồi tính toán.

a] Thay\[\displaystyle x = \dfrac{1}{3};y = - \dfrac{1}{5}\] vào biểu thức ta có:
\[\displaystyle 3.\dfrac{1}{ 3} - 5.\left[ { - \dfrac{1 }{5}} \right] + 1\]\[\displaystyle = 1 + 1 + 1 = 3\]
